About Me

My name is Mike and I am currently the chairperson of Bristol Bisons RFC. I joined the Bisons in 2005, after seeing a poster at one of the bars in Bristol.

When I joined back in 2005, I had never thrown or kicked a rugby ball. Rugby Union is a minority sport back in my homecountry, Greece. Sports was never one of strong points at school. Playing rugby has definitely made me a better person and Bisons has been an important part of my life over the past five years. I never imagined I would be the chairperson of this amazing club. I am committed that more people can share the experience of being involved with the Bisons.

I have made lots of friends and have travelled across the UK and Europe to play against other gay and straight teams.

My biggest achievement? Being part of the Bisons team that won the Union Cup 7s in 2009 and seeing the team grow from strength to strength over the past few months.
